Happy Summer to All!
It has been a very busy week in our lovely town! With the annual Rodeo, the Kiddie Parade, and Barn Dances, as well as the Annual Fireworks display at Watson Lake, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy in Prescott during this amazing time.
The weather is definitely warmer than normal but still not even close to the Phoenix area weather. The lakes are filled with kayaks, paddleboarders, fishing and summer camp kiddo!
Summer is really a great time to live in the area.
As for housing, we remain fairly steady with pricing. There has been a slight decrease in values, but only about 3-5% overall.
The inventory is up, as we had 691 homes for sale vs. 488 at the same time last year. In May we had 579 homes on the market, so as the summer season is heating up, the inventory is increased.
Homes are staying on the market a little longer with an average of 50-60 days, but there are many factors to that, including being priced properly, location, etc.
Interest rates remain high but I am seeing more buyers ask for concessions to be used to “buy down a rate” or for closing costs. If you are interested or curious about how this works, feel free to give me a call or send me an email.
